A local heating network in the historic old town centre of Wei\u00dfenstadt is being built in several construction phases. For the newly built heating plant, a previously empty grain warehouse, was renovated and thus put to a new use. A biomass boiler, a fossil-fired peak and reserve load boiler as well as a buffer storage were accommodated here. The biomass boiler is used and operated in conjunction with a local sawmill, thus achieving a particularly high utilisation of the boiler.<\/p>\n
