The analysis shows that the use of a heat pump for internal waste heat recovery from the drying air is relatively uneconomical. The investigation of the internal energy flows has shown that due to the insufficient hydraulics of the existing heat network, the already existing waste heat utilisation from the cooling water circuit of the oil refinery cannot be fully utilised. The greatest cost savings were achieved by the recommended conversion to natural gas instead of heating oil.<\/p>\n
