Within the scope of the investigations carried out, various possibilities for reducing energy consumption or energy costs were identified and their technical feasibility, economic efficiency and security of supply were evaluated in comparison with the existing supply structure. Measures from the fields of compressed air, steam, refrigeration and ventilation technology were analyzed. If all proposed measures were implemented, energy costs could be reduced by approx. 8 to 9 %.
